Catfish steamed with herbs-Lao style is one of the traditional authentic Lao food. The herbs brings aroma, the texture of catfish is soft, the taste of seasoning and the spice from chili. OMG! all combination makes this menu so delicious.
1. Use a mortar and pestle to roughly pound hot chili, garlic, red shallot, lemongrass, salt, and MSG.
2. Then mix to catfish in a bowl, add Khao Beua, add fermented fish sauce. Following with green onion, dill, and dark purple flower basil.
3. Use banana leaves to wrap and close well. Bring them to steam pot. Steam about 30 mns. Then serve with sticky rice. So good :)
